About Us:
The Sanborn Submarine Team was started in 2022 with the help of Mr.Enright and a dedicated group of 8 Sanborn High Students. The submarine in question was designed in 2013 by SST students for the International Submarine Races that our group will take part in this June. These submarine races are bi-annual and occur just outside Washington DC at the David Taylor Model Basin. The two dozen high schools and colleges selected will design, build, and race their submarines. Our team has been working hard to refurbish and redesign the Submarine and are already scuba certified. We want the community to be able to follow and stay updated on our process with easy-to-view graphics. This process is also being documented and turned into a documentary by one of the 8 students. We hope you look forward to our team's exciting project!
